Control-IQ technology does not prevent all high and low blood glucose events. The system is designed to help reduce glucose variability, but it requires your accurate input of information, such as meals and periods of sleep or exercise. Control-IQ technology will not function as intended unless you use all system components, including your CGM, infusion sets and pump cartridges, as instructed.

All other options are no longer covered by insurance and was advised by my insurance to see by Doctor to resume shot theoropy. I'm in a rough spot right now I don't have insurance right now and running out of everything at same time as being homeless so can't afford supplies I need for my pump or insulin.

While I was in a medicated induced coma my doctor signed me up for the Omnipod. At first I was very excited for it but I was never given the chance to research or look around. I am now stuck with insane bills that I cannot afford. I work full time and nearly all of my paycheck goes to Omnipod. This company is out to rob you.
Also the pods often "fail" and you have to call and report this to the company. If a pod fails you have to throw it away and there could be up to units of good insulin still in it. I can no longer afford it and will be returning to shots in I wrote them a letter telling them that health care in this country is no longer a luxury I can afford. I have had to change out this pump due to problems with it giving false readings when replacing old batteries with brand new ones but pump saying new battery is bad.
Pull out new battery then reinsert and pump says it is fully charged, internal battery housing problem as far as I am concerned. I got Medtronics to send new battery cover which took care of problem for awhile but then pump started acting up again. They have also had a recall on their pumps due to seal on bottom of battery housing being pushed outward! I got this pump then found out they already applied for a FDA license on two next generation pumps which have better features, like being able to go in water with one, will they replace the one I got for next generation pump, not on your life since mine is two models back!
This is my co-pay for pods. The pump just quit! The pump was still under warranty, Medtronic has done nothing to help! I asked for a new pump but nothing has happened, switching to ascu-chek Spirit! Dam Medtronic there service and caring sucks! We are trying to purchase a pump for my son. The aim of this overview is to present the available evidence on this subject, heighten awareness within the clinical community, provide considerations for minimizing possible negative effects on patient care, and encourage the monitoring of infusion devices after exposure to radiation or electromagnetic interference.
A multidisciplinary working group reviewed the compiled evidence, and a draft of the document was sent to health professionals from various disciplines for an external review. Four reports and three manufacturer device alerts were identified that suggest a risk of pump malfunction as a result of radiation exposure. The estimated cumulative dose at which pump failure has been reported ranges from Pump relocation, pump shielding, and assessment of the pump after radiation exposure are most commonly suggested to minimize pump malfunction related to radiation exposure.
A list of additional considerations is offered for those developing institution specific policies and procedures based on the available evidence and expert consensus.
The varied and unpredictable results of radiation exposure on infusion devices suggest that additional testing should be carried out to determine the limits of dose exposure and to raise awareness around this patient safety issue. This overview may also have relevance to electronic infusion pumps used to deliver nonchemotherapy agents, such as insulin, analgesics, and other agents, though they are not specifically addressed in this article.

The compiled evidence was reviewed by a multidisciplinary working group at CCO, which included representation from oncology nursing, medical oncology, radiation oncology, radiation therapy, medical physics, and pharmacy. The group met through in-person meetings and used e-mail as the main vehicle of communication. Differences were resolved through consensus. A penultimate draft of the document was sent to 18 health professionals from the disciplines of radiation treatment, systemic treatment, nursing, and medical physics for an external review.
Nine individuals provided feedback regarding the content and recommendations; two of the respondents indicated that they each had shared the document with colleagues, bringing the total number of respondents to
